Vision of the Climate Action Forum 2025 @ UN

From Regional Collaboration to Global Transformation through Climate Action

The Climate Action Forum (CAF) serves as a premier regional summit for sustainability and climate restoration—convened in association with the United Nations system through a strategic partnership between the Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA), an intergovernmental organization established by UN ESCAP and FAO, and the Sustainism Initiative.

Together, they envision a green economy driven by finance, investment, innovation, and coherent public policy. CAF is committed to empowering governments, the private sector, and civil society across Asia and the Pacific to deliver measurable progress on ESG integration and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

CAF: A Convergence of Leaders for Climate Action

CAF is not simply a forum for participation—it is a platform for leadership and transformation.
It brings together key actors across the sustainability value chain—from policymakers, financial institutions, and multinational corporations to SMEs, technology providers, farmers, and community organizations.

These stakeholders work collaboratively to co-create the next generation of sustainable finance mechanisms, built on the principles of equity, fairness, and practical transition pathways.

Key Sustainable Finance Mechanisms Promoted through CAF

Standards for sustainable transactions across entire value chains, ensuring verifiable carbon reduction and transparency.
Low-interest green financing (below 4%) for enterprises achieving high ESG or Climate Action performance, facilitating transition without increasing debt burdens.
Innovation grants supporting low-carbon technologies and circular business models that enhance economic and environmental value.
Institutional investment incentives prioritizing measurable, science-based climate performance.
Sustainable M&A frameworks that accelerate large-scale industrial transition toward net zero.

CAF thereby serves as a critical platform for shaping the global Net Zero economy, fostering consensus among regional and international actors on sustainable finance and investment. It embodies the conviction that “in the climate crisis era, sustainable businesses are the most competitive.”

This collective effort is firmly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the urgent global call for accelerated climate action.co-design a future led by a Climate Vision that is powerful, impactful, and leaves no one behind.

Participation and Recognition

Participation in CAF is not mere attendance—it is a selection.
It represents recognition as part of an international network of credibility and leadership in climate action.

Organizations selected for CAF are eligible to:
Present at the leadership level, showcasing measurable climate and sustainability achievements.
Receive formal recognition through certificates and inclusion in regional sustainability publications.
Develop and publish internationally recognized sustainability marks, linked to verified climate initiatives.
Be featured in intergovernmental and regional publications in collaboration with UN-associated platforms, demonstrating leadership in climate innovation and green finance.

CAF thus stands as a global cooperation platform for advancing the SDGs and recognizing private sector climate leadership—empowering organizations to move beyond local compliance toward transformative global impact through climate-centered business, investment, and policy strategies.

CAF is thus a “global platform for advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and recognizing private sector climate leadership”—empowering organizations to transcend local implementation, drive inclusive international cooperation, and shape transformative global impact through Climate Action at the heart of their business, investment, and policy strategies.
