Issued under the Cooperation Framework of the CSCAP – Climate & Sustainability Capital Forum
Advancing Sustainable Procurement under SCP and SDG 12 through CSCAP–SSA
Sustainism Initiatives (STNSM) is pleased to formally announce a strategic partnership with the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Association of Thailand (PSCMT) to advance Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), with a particular focus on Sustainable Procurement as a core driver of SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

This partnership is founded on a shared commitment to elevating the role of procurement and supply chain professionals from cost-focused functions to strategic leaders of sustainability transformation. It recognizes that procurement decisions shape production systems, market behavior, and environmental and social outcomes across entire value chains.
Under this collaboration, STNSM will support PSCMT and its members through structured knowledge development and practical frameworks on SCP, including Sustainable Procurement, Ethical Sourcing, Responsible Supply Chain Management, and Scope 3 emissions considerations. The objective is to ensure that sustainability is understood not as a policy concept, but as an operational and decision-making discipline embedded within everyday procurement practices.
A central pillar of this partnership is the formal recognition of organizations whose procurement functions actively support SCP, through designation as “Sustainable Buyers” under the CSCAP – Sustainable Supply Chain & Alliance (SSA) platform. This recognition framework is designed to reward leadership, accountability, and real-world implementation of sustainable procurement principles.
Participation in CSCAP–SSA provides member organizations with strategic advantages, including:
- Structured access to sustainable B2B buyers and suppliers
- Early-mover positioning in sustainable procurement markets
- Enhanced organizational credibility and supply chain trust
- Opportunities to showcase sustainable procurement leadership on the United Nations platform through CSCAP @ UN
STNSM and PSCMT jointly affirm that empowering procurement professionals is essential to translating SCP and SDG 12 from global commitments into economic reality. By aligning knowledge, market mechanisms, and recognition, this partnership ensures that sustainability is not confined to reports or pledges, but embedded in procurement decisions, supplier relationships, and long-term business value creation.
