The initiative is intended to support the expansion of partnership networks, the development of knowledge and capacity-building initiatives, and the implementation of projects related to Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), including the promotion of Sustainable Procurement, Responsible Sourcing, ESG, and Sustainable Supply Chains that can be meaningfully connected with the business sector, financial sector, investment community, and stakeholders within sustainable economic systems at both national and Asia-Pacific regional levels.

Such appointment is intended to establish a robust cooperation mechanism for advancing sustainable economic development, supporting organizational readiness during sustainability transition periods, promoting standardized ESG and SCP disclosures, and facilitating effective linkages among buyers, suppliers, investors, and business networks committed to the development of sustainable and traceable supply chain ecosystems.
