Advisory Board – Distinguished Expert in Technology, Infrastructure and Security Governance

The Secretariat hereby formally announces the appointment of Dr. Dej Churdsuwanrak as an Advisory Board Member – Distinguished Expert in Technology, Infrastructure and Security Governance, with the mandate to provide strategic, system-level leadership in advancing national sustainability through resilient infrastructure, advanced digital technology, and integrated security governance.
This appointment reflects the institution’s clear recognition that the future of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), economic competitiveness, and societal well-being can no longer be advanced through fragmented initiatives. In the digital era, sustainability must be structurally embedded within technology-enabled infrastructure systems, secure data architectures, and governance mechanisms capable of managing complexity, systemic risk, and rapid transformation driven by digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI).
Dr. Dej Churdsuwanrak has built a distinguished record of senior strategic leadership across both the private sector and Thailand’s national economic governance framework. As former Secretary-General of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand (2015–2018), he served at the core of the country’s trade, investment, and business policy architecture, where national priorities are shaped, coordinated, and translated into action.
This role positioned Dr. Dej at the highest level of economic decision-making, enabling close engagement with senior policymakers, regulators, and leaders of major domestic and international enterprises. Through this experience, he developed a deep and enduring understanding of how policy authority, institutional governance, technological infrastructure, and economic systems must align to deliver long-term national resilience and sustainable growth.
Dr. Dej’s leadership is defined by his ability to anticipate structural risks and unlock systemic opportunities. He brings strategic clarity to challenges that undermine SCP, including infrastructure inefficiencies, fragmented digital ecosystems, and governance gaps affecting transparency and accountability. At the same time, he consistently advances the role of technology, innovation, and AI as core enablers of responsible production, informed consumption, and national-level risk mitigation.
With an academic foundation spanning engineering, business administration, and public management—combined with leadership and advisory involvement in national digital infrastructure and security initiatives—Dr. Dej brings an integrated perspective on 21st-century security governance, encompassing data integrity, infrastructure resilience, system interoperability, and institutional readiness for AI-enabled decision environments.
In addition, Dr. Dej has completed Thailand’s highest-level executive leadership programs, including the National Defence College of Thailand (NDC) and the Capital Market Academy (CMA). These programs have further strengthened his capacity to integrate national security, economic governance, and capital market resilience within a coherent and strategic framework.
This appointment reaffirms the Secretariat’s commitment to Structural Sustainability, where innovation and technology function not merely to enhance efficiency, but to reinforce governance integrity, manage systemic risk, and secure long-term national resilience.
The Secretariat expresses its highest confidence that Dr. Dej Churdsuwanrak will play a pivotal and constructive role in advancing Thailand’s sustainable development trajectory, in alignment with Asia–Pacific regional priorities and the principles of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
