Strategic Collaboration between Thai-BISPA and Sustainism Initiatives at THAI-BISPA DAY 2025

Thailand is transitioning into an innovation-driven economy—an era that demands robust infrastructure, interconnected ecosystems, and unified policy support. In this context, the Thailand Business Incubation and Science Park Association (Thai-BISPA) serves as a national nexus for science parks and business incubation networks. Through collaboration with government, academia, and the private sector, Thai-BISPA advances the capacity of Thai entrepreneurs to compete on a global scale.

THAI-BISPA DAY serves as a national platform to mobilize “Innovation for Sustainability.” To amplify Thailand’s innovation capacity and promote high-potential enterprises to international recognition, Thai-BISPA has partnered with Sustainism Initiatives—an international mechanism under the Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA), which was jointly founded by the FAO and UNESCAP.

This landmark collaboration will be launched as part of the 2025 THAI-BISPA DAY, under the theme “Thailand’s Next Innovation Force – People Who Drive Innovation.” The initiative aims to identify and elevate Thai innovations with strong sustainability impact and demonstrable scalability for commercial expansion.

Operational Framework Toward Global Recognition

  • Call for Applications: Innovative solutions related to climate action and biodiversity restoration will be accepted, with a focus on scalability and market readiness.
  • Evaluation & Selection: An expert panel from Thai-BISPA and Sustainism will assess applicants based on ESG alignment, SDG relevance, innovation impact, and global readiness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be legally registered entities headquartered in Thailand, with the ability to conduct R&D, possess core technological know-how aligned with user demand, and demonstrate adequate human capital.

Awards and Global Recognition

  • Finalist candidates will be officially announced, and Certificates of Recognition for Outstanding Innovation in Climate Restoration will be presented during THAI-BISPA DAY 2025, to be held on 31 October 2025 at Grande Centre Point Lumphini, Bangkok.
  • Selected innovations will also be showcased globally through publication on the Sustainism platform (stnsm.org) and featured in the official CSCAP Publication, presented at the United Nations.

The selected recipients of the Certificate of Recognition for innovative business ideas supporting sustainability are as follows:

  1. Locol Co., Ltd.
  2. Synergy Technology Co., Ltd.
  3. Energy Innovation Provider Co., Ltd.
  4. Melmo EV Lawn Mower Thai Somboon Co., Ltd.

The collaboration between Thai-BISPA and Sustainism Initiatives serves as a strategic mechanism under SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, advancing Thailand’s innovation capacity toward international recognition and certification. It paves the way for access to green finance and global markets for high-impact enterprises, while cultivating a new generation of ESG-driven innovators aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By positioning Thailand as a regional and global hub for climate and biodiversity innovation, this partnership strengthens the linkage between the national innovation ecosystem and the global sustainability architecture, ensuring that Thai innovation becomes a driving force for inclusive and sustainable growth.
